Awareness-raising actions on nature protection

The third aspect of the association’s action is to raise public awareness of the themes of marine turtle protection and the environment in general.

We cannot do anything important in environmental protection without the understanding and help of the generlal public. That is why it is necessary to speak to everyone, to explain our actions carefully and to help us understand the environment in which marine turtles live.

For schools and holidays camps: our teams come to you! Several activities take place over half a day to discover the life of marine turtles and our actions to protect this emblematic animal.

We therefore have a wide range of activities adapted to all audiences. For more information you can contact the association.

For all visitors : from November to May, come and meet the Bwärä team at the entrance to La Roche Percée. The reception is open every day from 7am to 11am and in the afternoons from Monday to Saturday from 1pm to 4pm. You will discover an exhibition composed of 7 panels retracing what we know about marine turtles in the world, and more particularly the Bighead turtles that come to lay eggs on the beaches of Bourail.

This meticulous work has been carried out for 10 years. It led to the publication of a scientific report in June 2015, thanks to the collection of 8 years of data.
